XSIZE into production at LU Customs

First electronic messages exchanged with other national Customs authorities.

The Administration des Douanes et Accises (ADA) in Luxembourg has successfully put into production its national EMCS system as part of its PLDA (PaperLess Douane et Accises) Programme.

The ADA's EMCS system, which provides Economic Operators with electronic facilities for excise declaration management both at destination (FS0) and at dispatch (FS1), runs the XSIZE Core Bundle distribution (including  XSIZE NEA, XSIZE Gateway, and XSIZE Portal modules) which has proven its flexibility, reliability and capacity to scale across complex environments.

Next step (planned on 1st January 2011) will consist in having all national Customs Authorities supporting FS1 functionality.
